With over 15 years of experience in wood-based solutions, Jose Matas joined TOMRA Recycling as Segment Manager in 2021 to advance the material recycling and circularity of waste wood for the panelboard industry. His international experience with some of the world's largest wood-based producers offers a unique insight into the challenges and future of the industry.
Murat SanliWood Sales Engineer, TOMRA
Murat has considerable experience in waste wood sorting applications and designing processes that maximize the recovery of valuable materials for recycling. When he joined TOMRA Recycling in 2018, he was one of the collaborators in developing sensor-based technology built specifically for wood sorting. Over the years he has seen first-hand how the European waste wood market has developed and is well versed in the challenges associated with wood recycling.
Jan-Olaf FechterMaterial Expert and Technique Engineer, IKEA of Sweden AB
Having started his career in the wood sector with a diploma in wood science and technology, Jan-Olof gained impressive experiences in the industry. He dedicated numerous years of his career to developing innovations in material and functional textiles before starting his current position at IKEA in 2002. As Material Expert and Technique Engineer he oversees the company’s wood-based panel purchase and supports the company in meeting their sustainability goals.
